Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.80%
Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Elinoil Hellenic Petroleum Company SA (AT:ELIr), which rose 3.96% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) added 3.76% or 0.11 points to end at 2.90 and J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) was up 2.65% or 0.04 points to 1.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jumbo SA (AT:BABr), which fell 2.83% or 0.74 points to trade at 25.38 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 2.46% or 0.01 points to end at 0.34 and Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr) was down 2.41% or 0.38 points to 15.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 80 to 38 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.60% or 15.91 to $2,654.09 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.63% or 1.86 to hit $68.85 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.91% or 1.41 to trade at $72.50 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.30% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 106.62.
