Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.04%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.04%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC), which rose 2.28% or 220.00 points to trade at 9,850.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) added 1.76% or 80.00 points to end at 4,630.00 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC:CFV) was up 1.32% or 200.00 points to 15,380.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p), which fell 2.65% or 300.00 points to trade at 11,000.00 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana (BVC:CFV_p) declined 1.94% or 280.00 points to end at 14,120.00 and Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TPL) was down 1.53% or 180.00 points to 11,620.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.76% or 80.00 to 4,630.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was up 2.72% or 8.75 to $330.70 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.47% or 51.00 to hit $10,900.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.40% or 37.42 to trade at $2,719.72 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.35% to 4,301.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.09% to 715.90.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 108.96.
