Taiwan stocks higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 0.19%
Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Services, Other Electronic and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted gained 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were HiTi Digital Inc (TW:3494), which rose 100.51% or 7.92 points to trade at 15.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Zero One Technology Co Ltd (TW:3029) added 10.00% or 10.50 points to end at 115.50 and HTC Corp (TW:2498) was up 10.00% or 4.30 points to 47.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Logah Technology Corp (TW:3593), which fell 9.91% or 0.79 points to trade at 7.18 at the close. Chateau International Development Co Ltd (TW:2722) declined 9.87% or 3.75 points to end at 34.25 and Lead Data Inc (TW:2443) was down 9.85% or 0.39 points to 3.57.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in HiTi Digital Inc (TW:3494) rose to 5-year highs; up 100.51% or 7.92 to 15.80. Shares in Logah Technology Corp (TW:3593) fell to 3-years lows; falling 9.91% or 0.79 to 7.18. Shares in Chateau International Development Co Ltd (TW:2722) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.87% or 3.75 to 34.25.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.41% or 0.28 to $69.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.30% or 0.22 to hit $72.70 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 6.95 to trade at $2,649.55 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.11% to 32.48, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 107.03.
